simply replaces the standard filter to allow higher flow!

Does fitting one of these really make much of a difference compared to the standard factory filter?

They do make an improvement. If you also remove the resonator tube when you fit it you will get the best gain (for a panel filter) and a sporty sound to the engine.

Correct, I even used the standard filter without the resonator box and that was louder than standard
