your clonking sound is a driveshaft or cv joint, id get that sorted if i were you. also when you get that done get them to check your gear box oil. what mileage is the car on?

hey i had the same problem with my 97 baleno, it wasn't the CVs or anything, the last owner just didn't put the wheel nuts on tight enough, so the wheel would cluck again the hub. lucky for me, there was no damage to the hub, but we replace the studs just to be sure and my dad had to machine the inside of the wheel and put a spacer a on it, and it was all fixed.

sorry got side-tracked, from the sounds of its definitely your CVs and u should get it checked out as soon as u can.

not sure about the 1.3 but the 1.6 takes (from what I've read in my manual) NGK - BKR6E or NIPPONDENSO - K20PR-U

with a gap of 0.7 to 0.8mm
